Neil McCulloch

Senior Associate

Neil McCulloch is a senior associate with IISD’s Energy Program. As an economist and director of The Policy Practice, a UK-based consultancy focused on political economy analysis, his main area of focus is the political economy of fossil fuel subsidy reform.

Neil has worked on subsidy reform internationally, including in Indonesia, India, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Nigeria, and Zambia. Neil brings a wealth of experience from previous roles, including lead economist for the Australian aid agency in Indonesia, senior economist at the World Bank, and fellow at the Institute of Development Studies in the United Kingdom.
